Initiatives and Member Organizations

This page lists the major initiatives and member organizations in which the Group participates.

Initiatives

United Nations Global Compact

In September 2019, we signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) proposed by the United Nations and joined the Global Compact Network Japan, a local network in Japan. The UNGC is a voluntary initiative for each company and organization to act as a good member of society and achieve sustainable social growth by exercising responsible and creative leadership.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The 17 SDGs are integrated-they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. Based on the role ASKA Pharmaceutical Holdings should fulfill, we will work on the nine priority goals from among the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
